Weather is the most reliable of the three islands — Koh Samui's wet season runs October–December (different from the western islands' April–October), so June–September is reliably dry in Samui while Phuket and Krabi are unstable. **What Koh Samui gets less right:** the absolute top of the luxury market is thinner. There is no Aman-equivalent on the island; the marquee single-property experience is not at Phuket's level.
