Affiliate Disclosure
Full disclosure of the affiliate relationships Thailand Luxury Privé maintains, the commissions we receive, and the editorial independence we preserve.
Affiliate Disclosure
This page exists because the FTC requires it, and because we want every reader to know exactly how the publication is funded.
The short version
When you book a hotel, activity, or service through a link on this site, we may receive a commission from our partner. The commission does not increase what you pay. The commission does not change our editorial verdict. The full list of relationships is below.
Our editorial-funding model
Thailand Luxury Privé is funded through three channels:
- Affiliate commissions — when readers book travel, financial, or insurance services through links to our partners. The bulk of our funding.
- Sponsored editorial features — when a non-competing brand pays for a clearly-labeled sponsored article. Always tagged
#Sponsored · #โฆษณา. Our editorial standards still apply. - Direct sales — premium digital products (PDFs, consultations) sold to readers. Available in future site iterations; not currently active on this site.
We do not run programmatic display advertising on the flagship in 2026.
Active affiliate partnerships
The publication participates in the following affiliate programs as of the current site revision:
Hotel bookings — Fora Travel
Our primary booking partner. Fora is a licensed travel-advisor network with over 15,000 advisors and direct relationships with most of the luxury hotels we cover. When you book a hotel through a Fora link on our site:
- Fora handles the entire booking on your behalf.
- The property pays Fora a commission of 8–12% of the booking value.
- Fora pays us 70% of that commission as the referring advisor.
- The booking includes Fora-only perks where available: complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, resort credits, early check-in / late check-out. These are negotiated by Fora at the property level.
You pay the same rate you would pay booking direct. The commission comes from the property’s standard distribution budget.
Activities and experiences — Klook, GetYourGuide, Viator
For day tours, guided experiences, museum and attraction passes, and ground transfers, we partner with three activity platforms. Commissions are 3–8% of the booking value, paid by the platform.
Travel money — Wise, Revolut
For multi-currency accounts and international transfers, we refer Wise and Revolut. These programs pay flat-rate referrals (typically £50 / $50 / similar) when a referred user opens an account and completes their first transfer.
Travel insurance — SafetyWing
For long-term traveler and digital-nomad insurance, we refer SafetyWing. The program pays 10% recurring commission for as long as a referred customer maintains coverage.
Other programs
We may add programs as the publication’s coverage expands. New programs are added to this page within seven days of activation. If you ever see a link on the site that isn’t disclosed here, please write to hello@thailandluxuryprive.com and we’ll investigate.
Editorial independence — the line we hold
Every editorial verdict on this site is independent of our affiliate relationships. The Verification Standard governs every published piece, and the Standard does not bend for commercial reasons.
Specifically:
- A property does not need to be a Fora partner for us to cover it editorially. We cover properties we believe deserve coverage; the booking relationship is downstream.
- A property is not paid more favorable coverage by being a Fora preferred partner. The editorial verdict stands regardless.
- A negative editorial verdict on a Fora-partnered property is allowed and has occurred. If we don’t think a property is worth what it costs, we’ll say so.
- We refuse to participate in affiliate programs where the affiliate relationship would constrain editorial freedom. Several have asked; we have said no.
Sponsored content — when we accept it
We accept sponsored editorial under three rules:
- Brand suitability. No alcohol brands, tobacco, gambling, weight-loss claims, MLM products, firearms.
- Editorial control. We retain final control of facts, verdicts, and language. Sponsors do not see drafts and cannot approve copy.
- Visible labeling. Every sponsored piece carries
#Sponsored · #โฆษณาat the top of the article, with a sponsor disclosure block explaining the relationship.
When this site currently has no sponsored editorial content. When sponsored pieces appear, they will be clearly labeled and discoverable from this page.
What this site does not do
- We do not run “best of” lists with paid inclusion. Every list is editorial.
- We do not accept payment in kind (hosted stays, comp’d meals, gifts) in exchange for coverage.
- We do not allow operators to review drafts before publication.
- We do not silently edit content after publication. Corrections receive a dated editor’s note.
Your rights as a reader
